We partnered with Clorox on a multi-phase program to validate a new pet care business. Our team started with quantitative research, proceeding through demand testing, product prototyping and development, growth marketing, and launching a functional e-commerce MVP.

Challenge

Clorox wanted to validate a new business - a holistic cat wellness platform - by developing a personalized cat health assessment and selling targeted supplements.​

Solution

  • Large-scale quant survey to understand audience receptivity and form testable assumptions.
  • Digital demand test and landing page to test value propositions and an initial cat assessment.
  • Co-develop a cat assessment with vets: ranks multiple conditions, provides tailored content product recs.
  • Developed DTC e-commerce store MVP: sell personalized cat supplements based on assessment recs.
  • Implemented complete technology stack: e-commerce, application, email marketing, and fulfillment.
  • Managed acquisition: Paid search and social, organic social, partnerships, email drip campaigns, remarketing.

Results

  • Completely new way to test a product in the market: we  managed the entire tech stack and marketing program.
  • Extremely strong first-party acquisition results:  90% assessment completion, 1.5x lead target, 5.5x conv. rate goal, 5x lower target CPA.
